Striving to gain and maintain public trust is the cornerstone of our mission at the City of Sunray. The hallmark of open and responsive government is financial transparency. Simply put, we want you to have access to the information without having to ask for it or having to search through endless volumes of documents to get bottom-line numbers, visualizations, data sets, and summaries to see how your local government is funding programs and services. One goal as we enter Fiscal Year 2017 is to participate in the Texas Comptroller Financial Stars Program.Our first step is to obtain a Traditional Transparency Star.  Once we have achieved this goal; the City of Sunray will seek out other transparency stars such as debt, procuring and contracting, and public pension funds.
